Anyone know what code to use when the physician places a central line that he says is done using Seldinger's technique. These are sometimes done through the internal jugular or femoral veins.
 
Seldinger is just a technique to insert a tube into the body using a guidewire. For a central line it will be somewhere in the 36555-36571 range ("Insertion of Central Venous Access Device" section) depending on type, with or without port/pump, Tunneled, Non Tunneled etc.
