EMG 95885/95886 & insurance requesting use of 50 or RT/LT

Hello,

The pain management practice that i work for has 1 insurance in particular requesting we use laterality on the CPT codes 95885/95886- These cpts per AMA are based per unit- per limb tested. the coding assistant program (encoder) that we use company wide- says we can add said laterality modifiers, but my question is how appropriate is this? When the cpts state '95885 and 95886 can be reported for a total of 4 units if all extremities are tested"?
