A patient presents for a lump in the lower inner quadrant of her right breast. he provider orders a mammogram. What is the correct ICD-10-CM code for the encounter? a. N63.14 b. C50.919 c. Z12.31 d. Z12.39 I'm reviewing my practical/ experiential learning, but once you complete it, you can't go back and review. So I don't have the "correct" answer sheet. Just the questions. My answer would be N63.14. It WOULD be a Z code first, but since these codes are for screening (not diagnostic), they are disqualified. At least in my mind, that's how I arrived at the answer.
Am I correct? If not, what is the correct answer and the rationale. TIA

The diagnosis is N63.14.

C50.919 is incorrect, as there is no cancer diagnosis, and we know it's the right breast.
Z12.13 and Z12.39 are not correct, as they are for a screening. Testing will be diagnostic, due to the lump.
