Is anyone having trouble with Medicare reimbursing for a PA assistant on an endovascular AAA repair? We usually have an MD assist but a couple of them this year have been PA assists. One was Blue Cross and it was paid. The other was Medicare and they won't pay but I can't find any guidelines stating that they don't pay for a PA assist on this procedure. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
