I am wondering how everyone enters their immunizations and therapeutic injections. We currently enter NDC codes for all immunizations, but are now being told we must enter N4, NDC code, drug name, and units for all shots. However, we are finding information that says NDC codes are only required for shots that have J codes (things other than immunizations). Do you enter NDC codes? If so, what format do you use? Just the code, or all of the information I mentioned above? Thanks!
 
We enter ndc code as well as drug name and dosage on all vaccinations given. Our carriers require it. You must enter extra zero's as directed by medicare.
