We do the billing for the ER physicians, they do not work for the hospital, but separately bill. I have a patient that came to the ER with foot pain he did an x-ray. The ER physician read the x-ray and said no fracture per his interpretation. The radiologist actually read it with patient having a dorsal avulsion fracture of the distal talus, this was read after the patient had left. A different ER doctor called the patient back in the next day and we placed an Ortho glass splint. Can we bill for this call back?

My opinion:

A different ER doctor called the patient back in the next day, so I hope we can bill the ER visit. If the same day means we need to bill together as one report.

Wait for others comment where I am right or not ?
