Wiki ER CPT's and Place of service..

We don't do ER billing, but our physician saw 2 patients in the ER and wants us to use the ER CPT code series. We are unsure if we should bill these as Out-patient (22) for place of service or if we have to use an ER (23) place of service. Should we be billing ER E&M codes at all?

If your physician was called to the ER by the ER physician then you use ER E&M levels and POS 23.
