Wiki ERCP-multiple stents exchanged with one new placement

Hello there,

We have a case where 5 stents were exchanged in the common bile duct along with one new stent. So, a total of 6 new stents were placed. How should this be coded since it was all in the common bile duct? 43276x5 or 43274x6?

we came across this same scenario today but it was one stent out 2 stents in the same duct so we questioned
43276 73274-59
43276 73276-52-59
43276
73276 73276-59
overall we cam up with no definite help but chose to be safe and go with just a 73276
