I have a physician that did an ercp and used a stent to cannulate the duct. So he inserted and removed the stent. He then was able to cannulate the duct and did the sphincterotomy and duct stent placement. Do I bill for the first stent that was used to cannulate the duct? If so I know I would bill for stent exchange since it was the same duct.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
