Wiki eScription help

Can anyone shed light on the 1% penalty for not using eScription? My Urologist is getting this penalty for all 2012 claims. I understand it is because she didn't use electronic devices for perscriptions but I'm unclear how we code to show we will now be using eScription. G8553? When it's applied ???

Also, does anyone have any good suggestions for handheld eScription devices. We are new to this technology and want something user friendly inexpensive. We don't have EHR/EMR at all.

There was a post in another thread from a coder who warned that there were X number of Escrips( I think 25) that had to be done before year end 2011 or there would be a 1% penalty in all physician services in 2012. Here is 1 site I found with some info-
