We saw an established patient 2 years ago with a diagnosis of microhematuria and we treated and resolved the microhematuria. Now the patient is presenting to the office again with another episode of microheamturia, is this diagnosis considered a new diagnosis with additional work-up or and established diagnosis, worsening?
I guess I'm questioning if we've treated a patient for a specific diagnosis and resolve the issue, what happens if they come back and are having the issue years down the road. How do we classify established or new for diagnosis purposes?
Thanks
Michelle
