Hello, can anyone who is experienced in chiropractic coding and billing tell me if commercial payers and/or Medicare are covering for 0101T in a chiropractic setting. I am reviewing a claim for a personal injury in Florida, and the chiropractor billed $609.50 for every visit nearly 20 times in 3 months. There are no details in the notes except for the location, which was his lumbar spine. No time, no frequency or settings. I take it they use a hand-held Radial Wave therapy device which as we know is quite different than a lithotripsy or other type of ESWT service. I know they do this to raise the total medical billing but who in the world would pay for this service 3x/week for 12 weeks?
