Hi I work for gastroenterologists that a patient comes in for and evaluation and management and the provider does a rectal exam and puts the solution on his glove to see if there is blood present. Can the provider bill for the evaluation and management and the 82272? If not where is there information on when to bill the hemacults

Yes you can bill both the e/m and the 82272. You can find info on hemoccults on the medicare site where their lcd's and ncd's are.
