new patient comes in stating here for well woman exam that her PCP refer her. All the history portion was obtained but patient refuse exam and then left office. Can this encounter be billed?

Any help will greatly appreciated!!!
 
Was anything done in the constitutional portion - vitals, general appearance, anything like that? That could be a PF exam.

Just vitals. Complete History this was GYN provider. What dx could we use?

I'm not sure you can bill her insurance if the exam never took place. Maybe bill her for a No Show? That's pretty much what she did.... she scheduled an appointment to see the doctor for a preventive exam, then did not go through with it. Most practices have a "No Show" or "Late Cancellation less than 24 hours" charge that patients can be charged, since you can't bill the insurance in cases like that. I'm not sure why she would leave... did she not understand the purpose of the visit?
