What would the appropriate CPT code be for exam under anesthesia of the knee to assess for ACL tear.
Patient was in an MVA and was taken to surgery to repair a fibular and an ulnar fracture. The doctor was also concerned over patient's knee so he did an exam under anesthesia and found that the knee was consistent with an ACL tear. He is planning a followup MRI to further assess the ACL.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
