The wound excision size is given by doctor is 0.5 cm and intermediate repair final wound length is 1 cm. Can you please advise for excision code selection should I consider 1 cm or .05 cm AND what is margin meant in CPT. Thank you

is this an excision of a lesion? The margin is the surface around the excision. Your CPT codebook shows pictures of the margins to help identify correct coding in this instance.
