has anyone ever coded this?? This was done posteriorly without a lami - the note states:
"At this time, we conducted an excisional bx of the left T1 facet to be sent for specimen and pathology due to the suspicion of a possible tumor lesion found on the MRI. We used osteotomes, rongeurs to gently excise out the left T1 facet excisionally and sent the entire specimen off for pathology. Of nite, the pathologist did call back revealing that there was no evidence of tumor."
There is a code for partial excision 22101 but not for full - any ideas/advice would be greatly appreciated!
