Need help finding a cpt code for exploration done for back mass in office.
Exploration of back mass
Pre-Op: Back lipoma
Post-Op: Muscle hypertrophy
Anesthetic: 1% lidocaine with epinephrine
Procedure: Area was prepped with betadine and draped sterilely.
1% lidocaine was injected for anesthetic. Incision was made over the palpable area. Nothing in SQ tissue. By palpation spread through the latissimus and no submuscular lipoma found either. Apparent muscle tissue only. Pressure for hemostasis. Wound closed in layers of intrrupted 3-0 vicryl and a running subcuticular 5- vicryl. Area cleansed, dried and dressed with a band aid.
