would it be appropriate to code an external fixation device (20692) with a fracture repair that requires internal fixation i.e 27450? Thanks.

As long as it's in the op note, the codes aren't inclusive to each other...

do you know where I can get documentation of that so I can submit an appeal to the ins company?? Thanks. It's BC/BS and they're a pain..
