One of my physicians applied two mulitplane fixator systems (Ilizarov type)on the same leg; one on the femur and one on the tibia. He wants to know if he can bill for both fixator systems. The patient has acquired leg length discrepency.

I told him I thought that he could but I would ask a higher authority. Am I correct or not.

Thanks in advance for any direction with this issue.
