"after identifying the patient...under fluoroscopic visualization and after applying a normal sterile prep and drape using sterile aseptic no-touch technique we injected the patients fracture and gave her hematoma block using 8 ml of 2% lidocaine into the hematoma and we also injected the patients ankle with 2 ml of 1% lidocaine. then under fluoroscopic visualization we performed an external roation stress, which did demonstrate that she had significant widening of her medial joint space. patient was awake for entire procedure and tolerated without any complications
