Hello coders,

question............

My office is now doing venous studies for vericous veins.

After the consultation we have the pt come back for the ultra sound of the legs. Can you bill 93965 with 93970???? We are only billing the 93970 but are being told that we can 93965 because the dr is ruling out pe's. Obviously rule outs cant be coded but the pain in limb can.

Any thoughts??????

You can only bill for the venous study of extermities either 93970 or 93971.
