If a patient is returning to the office for a follow up after a Femoral stent placement and the Doctor/PA doing the follow up also does a PVR/ABI study does he need a seperate order for that study. Or is his follow up notes stating the ABI's are to be done to check the pulses good enought documentation and order requirements.

2 issues here - if this is his patient in his office, a separate order is not needed for services perfomed in his office. It must be documented in his notes that it will be done, results from it, etc.
ABIs are part of the E & M service and not separately billable. So you don't really need an order from that - it's just part of his exam.
