I have a question for anyone that can help me. Regarding Facility codes that are "add on" CPT codes we know those codes have a reduced reimbursement already because they are add on codes. Here is my question in a Facility when these add on codes are billed with a 51 modifier would they be reduced again? Appreciate any help :) Thanks!
 
you are not allowed to use a 51 modifier on add on codes and that modifier is for physician use only. There is no way to stop the multiple procedure reduction, or the reduction of the add on codes.
