Hi ,

Can anyone tell me how to code factor-8 administration. Do I use CPT code 96365 series given more than hour or use different cpt code for hospital infusion room coding

Do I have to use any V code for factor VIII like use for chemo coding ?

Factor VIII Coding

We do factor infusions all the time and most of them are given over 3-5 minutes. We use 96374. (guidelines state it is to be used for infusion of 15 minutes or less)
For the diagnosis we use the Factor VIII 286.0 and if there is a bleed or injury as the reason for the infusion we use that also.
