Wiki Failed ACL reconstruction

Help!

Patient had a failed ACL reconstruction. Doctor did an open hardware removal, left tibia. arthroscopic chondroplasty lfc, arthroscopic loose body removal lfc, carticel biopsy and arthroscopic bone grafting. He failed to mention that he resected the allograft. So, I have a 20680, (29877 & 29874 same compartment) Carticel biopsy 29870 & 29999 for resection of ACL? Do I compare removal of ACL to Menisectomy RVU? I also should go w/ 29877 since 29874 is in the same compartment? Carticel biopsy will probably be kicked out too?

Any guidance or help would be greatly appreciated.

I was told at a seminar from Karen Zupko if a revision ACL is done from a failed attempt, 29888-22 would be billed. It helps to see the op note, I am not sure how your physician reworded the procedures.
