I am looking for a cpt code code for a falciform ligament pedicle flap. Here is the procedure and a snippet of where he placed the flap.

Procedure:
1. Exploratory laparotomy with radical resection of retroperitoneal mass (15cm)
2. Transverse colectomy EN bloc with complete mobilization of the splenic flexure
3. Distal pancreatectomy/splenectomy EN bloc
4. Peripancreatic and splenic lymphadenectomy
5. Complete omentectomy
6. Bilateral transversus abdominis plane nerve blocks with ultrasound guidance
7. Falciform ligament pedicle flap to the pancreatic transection margin

"The falciform ligament pedicle flap was advanced over the pancreatic transection margin and secured using 3-0 silk sutures.

I would think that this is included in the pancreatectomy/splenectomy, but a description on how he created the flap would be helpful when coding for this procedure. If that one sentence is all he stated for that particular procedure. I would include this in the pancreatectomy, its like he put a blanket over where he removed the pancreas. If there is not a description of the actual procedure of the flap (like a medically necessary reason for this procedure) being performed its hard to distinguish a separate procedure that would be billable. I hope that helps.
