Good Morning,

Can a family medicine doctor bill for HPV (87624) or Chlyamydia & Gonorrhea (87800) if they are only collecting the specimen to send to the lab for analysis?

Thank you.
 
Nope. Those codes are only billable by the laboratory doing the analysis. Collection is inclusive to the other services performed for example the E&M
