Help Please. I am new to coding Plastic Surgery and I need help. A few of the op notes state that the surgeon did a fat grafting to the breast, so the surgeon performed liposuction on the patient and then injected that fat once cleaned into the patient breasts. Does anyone know how to code this procedure?
 
there is a cpt assist article that states to use 19366, however I attended a plastic surgery coding seminary by Karen Zupko Assoc and they said the correct code for this would be 20926. this would include the harvest of the fat and injection portions of the procedure.
