New here at the practice, did payment posting for a year and just moving into an open billing position here at the practice and totally feel like the coding methods here a different than what I learned in school and I question a lot of things and then I get told no. IDK I feel like I am doing something wrong.

"Correct" or standard coding guidelines sometimes do not align with payer rules and guidelines. That having been said, sometimes practices establish billing processes and policies that don't take correct coding into account in order to bring in the money. We'd have to see specific examples of what you're being asked to do in order to determine if there's a problem.
In the meantime, educate yourself on the expectations for billing out Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payers (as they are all different) so that you can see for yourself if you're being asked to do things that worry you.
