Hi,
I believe I should use an unlisted code 64999.
My physician did a rt. frontal craniotomy, exploration rt lateral ventricle, and fenestration of septum pellucidum. The patient had a previous surgery for resection of a intraventricular tumor and following surgery the patient continued entrapment of the rt. ventricle, which was explored a week ago and was unsucessful and the isolation of the rt. ventricle continues.
now 61304 is for craniotomy, exploratory & 62161 neuroendoscopy withfenestration of septum pellucidum. However, my physician didn't use an endoscope.
I'm not sure if I can should use an unlisted code or a modifier 52 for reduced services.

Help. Thanks
