Patient came in for a consult with our ortho Dr. because her unborn fetus has a femur fracture? Can you suggest a diagnosis code for the patient?

Fetus Femur Fx

First of all, how was the fracture diagnosed? Did it result from some type of trauma to the mom, or is it congenital? I'm thinking that a code from chapter 11 since the mom is actually the patient..Please provide a bit more information.

The fracture was seen during mother's 30 weeks routine sonogram. She consulted the Dr. to determine if the baby should be treated when born.

So that would mean that the appointment was all about the baby's condition, not the mother's, so the baby is actually the patient. Am I correct for saying so?? If this is so, the baby gets his/her own medical chart because Chapter 15 codes are never to be used on the maternal record.
