Hi y'all! Help me with something please! I have a physician that is not credentialed to performed the FFR study therefore one of her partners does this for her during the cath procedure. She will be the cath code while he will bill the FFR. With the FFR being an add on code it, of course, is being denied! Is there a way to modify this code in order for her partner to be reimbursed for his services? Any advice would be beneficial!! Thank you!

You would bill an unlisted 93799 and it can be compared to a 93571.

How would you compare this on the claim or did this auto kick a request for medical records? Also, what about the fee schedule?

So, I just read somewhere that you would add in box 19 (additional info) FFR 93571 artery 26 ----does this sound correct to you?

Yes, in box 19 you would comment that the procedure is for Fractional Flow Reserve Assessment; comparison code 93571,26. Not sure what system you use but you may need to request to have the fee added to your fee schedule. Hope this helps.
