Indication: Acute respiratory distress
The fiberoptic bronchoscope was passed thru the established ET tube, which was in good position above the carina. The right and left tracheabronchial tree were inspected. There was found to be acute tracheobronchitis w/.exudative plaques bilaterally, thin watery secretions throughout the tracheobronchial tree, but there was no mucoid impaction seen. Speciam was sent for Gram stain and C and S.
Findings: Evidence of acute tracheobronchitis.
Would this be 31622 or 31725 or another code?
