Wiki Fifth Digit Pregnancy Coding Question

When coding categories 640 - 649, I'm confused about when to use fifth digit subclassification "3 - antepartum condition of complication". Does "antepartum" refer to a pregnancy after a certain date or the entire pregnancy? I've looked around and am unable to find guidance on that.

Also, if it is not mentioned in the chart how far along the woman is, which fifth digit do I use?

Thanks!

The antepartum period is the period prior to delivery of the baby. From the Free Online Dictionary the definition is antepartum - occurring or existing before birth; "the prenatal period"; "antenatal care"
