I was wondering how you all code this scenario.

When a patient comes in for their first post op visit following c-section (we billed for the global delivery service), and has a discussion about contraception and makes decision and plan as to what type of contraception they will use. Is this post op visit separately billable? With mod 24 and contraception management dx.?

Or is this a typical conversation post op c-section and therefore not separately billable?
 
Sorry, Melissa, but contraception management is part of postpartum care. Postpartum care is part of a global delivery. If your physician(s) is a member of ACOG, they have a great resource for coding and billing which explains what is included or not included in ob/gyn codes. Good luck!
