Our physician performed an excision of fistulous tract and debridement In addition under procedure performed he did a fistulography and identification of the fistulous tract with blue dye: The op note for that reads:
First anoscopy was performed and park retractor was applied. External track was at 6 o'clock position, so gently the small probe was inserted and then cannula was inserted with a blue dye, and blue dye was injected. It was seen that posteriorly just below the dentate line, there was an opening from which this blue dye was coming.
I have 46275 for the excision of the fistula tract and 46020 for seton placement. Am I able to bill for the blue dye for identification since xray was not utilized for this?
Thanks
