Wiki foreign body removal vs hot snare

I have a physician who billed an EGD with hot snare, but he used the hot snare to retrieve a hemoclip left from a previous procedure. So I am trying to decide if the hot snare code is the appropriate code, as this was technically an EGD w/foreign body removal.

Has anyone had to bill for this before? How did you code this?

If you haven't billed for it, how would you code this?
 
I'd be inclined to use the fb removal code. The snare code states it is for removal of tumor, polyp or lesion by snare technique.
