Hello -

I am trying to locate the correct coding for foster care exams for children being placed in new homes.
We are able to bill Medicaid for these exams but I am unsure if it goes with a straight E&M code or to use the preventive exam 99381-99385 or 99391-99394.
Any help would be appreciated !
 
Our facility bills as a preventative, with a modifier that indicates foster care then bill MCD. If the child has already had a wellness in that 12 month period and MCD denies even with a modifier then you can submit claim to DHS. This is for Arkansas and so it maybe different state to state.
