My supervisor found documentation she wrote down from a call she had with a medicare rep stating that "a supervisor must sign off on LCSW treatment plans" it didn't specify the IOM or LCD this may be specific to. Does anyone know if this information is accurate and if so, where I might find it in writing? They are billing 90832/G0470 via telehealth, and in the office...

Hello What is you faciltiy type for billing Medicare? FQHC? For LCSW you can bill Medicare with the above codes we also use modifiers 95 for video and 93 for audio/phone. Check CMS for FQHC Behavior Health coding and billing.
