Can anyone direct me on resources besides coding clinic and Faye Brown that would assist me in determining acute from aftercare on patient charts? I work in outpatient radiology and we work solely from the radiology report only, the findings and the impressions.
Sometimes the admit will say fracture and the body of the report will say "in good position", screws transfixed..which I thought were all indicators of an aftercare. The acute fractures won't say "healing" fracture or in good position (not necessarily) and most often really don't say much.
Looking for any guidance/references to assist me!
