I work for an Emergency Department Charge Capture team. I have an account where the Pt had a simple hand laceration repair CPT 12002 and also was splinted CPT 29125 for a metacarpal bone fracture same hand. Is this appropriate to drop the 2 CPT codes together with a modifier? Is there an NCCI modifier that would be added to this account OR can I only charge for the laceration repair CPT 12002?
