I was wanting to see what others would do, would this qualify for a fracture cpt code to be billed or not?
ASSESSMENT: Left distal phalanx fracture great toe.
PLAN: This fracture should heal reliably. He should avoid stubbing his toe. I will see him back in six weeks but if he is doing well at that time he does not need to return to see me. I don't foresee him having any long term problems with this toe although he could develop arthritis at the interphalangeal joint. He may lose his toenail. If he has any questions or concerns, he will return to see me.
