My question would be why a well newborn would stay beyond 3 days...
To my knowledge, this would be payer-specific. Some payers only allow a few days for "normal" newborn inpatient care. The question I have above is one that would likely be asked by a payer if a newborn stayed for multiple days with a well newborn diagnosis.
