Hello,
I promoted a front desk employee last month to team lead . I am putting together goals and expectations to achieve this year for this new role. What are some of the goals and responsibilities you could share for your front desk supervisor or team lead ?

These all apply to front desk staff
1) Train staff on use of EMR system
2) Train staff on proper check in and check out procedures and information required from patients.
3) Review/educate staff about phone answering scripts and triage with staff
4) Educate staff about various insurance and vision care plans accepted and how to get care authorizations and information about deductibles and copays due at time of service.
5) Train staff to collect all fees due on date of service in full before pt leaves office or receives any prescription information. (No billing)
6) Supervise staff and report any problems to office manager or owner.

I could go on. It's a tough job!
