For autografts and substitute grafts, are they all recipient sites unless otherwise specified? I know you have to know whether it is for a donor or recipient site.
 
I believe its all based on Recipient site.

Looking at the CPT Guidelines, Obtaining the graft from another area is included, you would only bill an additional code if the donor site is closed by another skin graft or a flap repair. If you have the CPT book, This information is listed under the definition of Autografts/tissue cultured autografts in the guidelines listed right above the codes

Thank you. I was overthinking it. I saw the guidelines, but thought maybe it was something that was understood and just not in there.
