Full dose of Flu Vaccine not given.

Can someone please help?

A patient came in for a flu shot; however due to a defect to the manufacturer of the syringe the whole full dose of the vaccine was not given. How would I bill this?

You can split a dose into two like they do for kids receiving the flu shot. I would bill for the full dose since you cannot change to 1/2 unit on a claim and have the patient come back in for the other half of dose within a few days.
