Anyone versed on functional medicine billing? One of my pain management mds is getting certified for it and asked me to look into billing for it. I am finding conflicting information that you can bill insurance for office visits but then patient can be self pay for the extended time spent and screenings? Are there CPT codes for this other than typical E&M codes? Any information to point me in the right direction is greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great day!
