Have any commercial carriers been taking G0101 and Q0091? My supervisor has had that some are taking these codes but I cannot find any information that they are?

G0101 with Q0091

I was just going to querry this myself, I have an Excellus BCBS denial of appeal in front of me for Q0101 with Q0091. It states procedure code G0101 is denied as incidental to procedure code Q0091 and if you add 59 you must submit medical records.

Any other thoughts or comments out there?

I only bill G0101 and Q0091 to Medicare. For commercial carriers I use the appropriate Preventive Medicine E&M 99381-99387 for new patients and 99391-99397 for established patients. The only time I bill G0101/Q0091 to another payer is when that payer is a Medicare supplement.
