I work for an orthopedic office, and recently, to capture revenue, my supervisor has asked that I bill out Home Health cert/re-cert codes. They are G0179 and G0180. I was told by one of our billers that we had received denials from commercial insurance, so it led me to look at "lay description", where it reads that these codes are a "Medicare covered home-health sevice". We "assumed" that this meant Medicare exclusively, but a fellow Ortho office just called and reported that she received payment in full, from Anthem on this code. Does anyone have any feedback, and/or experience with billing these/reimbursments/etc???
